The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE) is a leading teaching and research unit of Hanoi University of Science and Technology in the fields of Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics and Telecommunications, and Biomedical Engineering. With a tradition dating back to 1956, the School plays a pioneering role in Vietnam's engineering education system.
Overview
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was established in 2021 through the merger of the School of Electronics and Telecommunications, the School of Electrical Engineering, and the International Research Institute for Multimedia, Information, Communication and Applications (MICA). Its predecessor was the Faculty of Electrical Engineering — one of the first faculties of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, founded in 1956.
The School currently has 260 staff members (4 professors, 58 associate professors, 166 PhDs) and trains over 10,000 undergraduate students, master's students and doctoral candidates — approximately one quarter of the entire scale of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

History & tradition
From evacuation classes along the Kỳ Cùng River during the resistance war to today's modern School, generations of teachers and students have contributed to many of the nation's landmark scientific and technological achievements. In 2026, the School celebrates its 70th anniversary.
