Course description
This course provides learners with a general understanding of the power system, basic knowledge of economic and technical calculations in the design and operation of the power distribution systems, calculation in the medium and low voltage power systems. After comleting this course, learners are able to: Understand the structure of the power distribution systems: the production and distribution of electricity, electrical loads and power distribution systems diagrams. Understand and calculate electrical loads and economic-technical aspects of power distribution systems. Know how to calculate and design a power distribution system to ensure the requirement of the load.

CLO1 Know the structure, function, and characteristics of a power distribution system, including power sources, power distribution networks, and electrical loads.

CLO2 Research and apply methods for calculating electrical load in power distribution system design, including determining the calculated load and forecasting the load.

CLO3 Analyze, calculate, and preliminarily design a simple power distribution system, selecting the power supply scheme and basic equipment based on load requirements and economic-tecnical criteria.
