Course description
This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the Faculty of Automation, the Control and Automation Engineering program, its curriculum structure, and the principles of credit-based education. The course introduces major application areas and typical engineering problems in the field, while developing essential academic and professional skills, including information searching, report writing, project presentation, career orientation, and scholarship opportunities. Through a group assignment, students explore general topics related to the discipline, apply basic knowledge of physics, electrical circuits, and simple software tools to solve elementary engineering problems, and develop self-learning skills under instructor guidance.

Học phần cung cấp cho sinh viên những hiểu biết cơ bản về Trường Điện – Điện tử, Khoa Tự động hóa, chương trình đào tạo ngành Kỹ thuật Điều khiển và Tự động hóa, cấu trúc chương trình học và nguyên tắc đào tạo theo hệ thống tín chỉ. Học phần giới thiệu các lĩnh vực ứng dụng, các bài toán kỹ thuật tiêu biểu trong ngành, đồng thời trang bị cho sinh viên các kỹ năng học tập, tìm kiếm và khai thác tài liệu, kỹ năng viết báo cáo, trình bày dự án, định hướng nghề nghiệp và cơ hội học bổng. Thông qua bài tập nhóm, sinh viên tìm hiểu tổng quan về ngành/chuyên ngành, vận dụng kiến thức cơ bản về vật lý, mạch điện và các công cụ phần mềm đơn giản để giải quyết các bài toán kỹ thuật cơ bản dưới sự hướng dẫn của giảng viên.
